Supporting FDNY with BMU Training
At Global BMU, we take great pride in assisting the Fire Department of New York(FDNY) with specialized training for permanent facade access systems. Our commitment to safety, innovation, and collaboration ensures that New York’s Bravest are prepared for the unique challenges they face when responding to facade access emergencies.
Ongoing Training & Collaboration
Global BMU has worked closely with FDNY and NYPD Emergency Services to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed for safe, effective rescues involving permanent facade access systems.
One of our recent training sessions, hosted by Durst at 825 Third Avenue, focused on Facade Access Rescue Strategies for Permanent Systems. These sessions blend theory and hands-on training, giving FDNY personnel the confidence and expertise needed for real-world scenarios.

A Message from FDNY Rescue 1
We recently received a message from Captain John Ceriello (FDNY Rescue 1) about how our training directly contributed to a successful rescue at 100 Wall Street:
"Yesterday at 5 PM, Rescue 1 was sent to 100 Wall Street for a stalled scaffold. The twin jib BMU had shut down. Members set up a rope system while waiting for the mechanic, who was stuck in traffic. When he arrived, he reset the unit and retrieved the scaffold. Thanks to your training, my members knew the mechanic could likely fix it and didn’t break anything in the process!"
- Captain John Ceriello, FDNY Rescue 1
This message is a testament to the importance of proper training and collaboration between emergency services and industry experts.

We are honored to contribute to FDNY’s mission and will continue to offer our expertise whenever we can.
